Describe how military service—either your own or a family member’s—has influenced your values, leadership style, or future goals.

“Leadership in Action”
 Share an example of a time you led others—whether in school, your unit, or your community—and explain how it reflects the values of the National Guard.

“Citizen-Soldier Legacy”
Reflect on how being part of the National Guard community has shaped your sense of identity, responsibility, and purpose.

“Support Beyond the Uniform”
Discuss how organizations like the Enlisted Association of the NYNG support enlisted members and their families—and how you plan to pay that support forward.

“A Commitment to Service”
Explain how you plan to continue serving your community, state, or nation—whether through military, public service, or civic leadership.

“Guard Family, Guard Future”
Share how being part of a National Guard family has impacted your educational and career aspirations.

“Prepared to Lead, Ready to Serve”
What does leadership mean to you in the context of the Guard, and how do you embody that in your life?

“From Drill Hall to Classroom”
How have the discipline, teamwork, or lessons from the Guard influenced your academic journey and goals?
