Scholarships

Education Benefits for our members and their families

Most scholarships are open to members, spouses, and dependent children.

EANYNG is committed to supporting the educational aspirations of New York’s military families through scholarship programs that ease the financial burden of higher education.

  • Two (2) “last dollar” scholarships will cover tuition expenses after a member uses all available tuition assistance (TA) funding each fiscal year, meaning there are no out-of-pocket tuition expenses between TA funding cycles. The scholarships apply to any Syracuse University online bachelor of professional studies degree in the College of Professional Studies and are open only to EANGUS members of the New York Army and Air National Guard (one scholarship for each service).

  • Two (2) “full-tuition” scholarships cover all tuition expenses for any Syracuse University online undergraduate credit certificate (15 credits) in the College of Professional Studies. The scholarships are open to only EANYNG members currently serving in the New York Army and Air National Guard (one scholarship for each service).

EANY proudly sponsors two (2) $6,000 scholarships to support the educational goals of enlisted service members, their spouses, and dependents. This scholarship reflects EANY’s commitment to investing in the future of our military families by easing the financial burden of higher education. Recipients are selected based on academic achievement, community involvement, and a demonstrated dedication to service.

Each year, USAA offers every EANGUS State Association a $1,000 scholarship to be presented to an enlisted qualifying recipient or their dependent at the state level. State Presidents — not individual members — submit the request on behalf of their association.
